Dos Pueblos Mock Trial (DP Mock) is an extracurricular organization at Dos Pueblos High School, in Goleta, California. DP Mock has won three California state championships (1984, 1987, and 2016) and has four second-place finishes (’93, ’94, ’96, and 2012).

The year 2012 marked Dos Pueblos Mock Trial’s first year in the prestigious Empire World Invitational Tournament in New York City. The tournament brings together 30 of the top teams in the nation along with international champions from Ireland, Scotland, South Korea, and England. Dos Pueblos advanced to the championship round and came back with second place.

The following year, Dos Pueblos returned to the Empire competition and took fourth place in the competition. In 2015, the team returned again to New York. After four rounds of trials in the federal courthouse in Brooklyn, DP emerged with the title of World Champion.

Following its return from the World Championships, Dos Pueblos prepared the case of People v. Hayes for the California competition. After winning in its county in February, the team traveled to the State Finals in Sacramento, and went undefeated to enter the championship round against perennial powerhouse Menlo School. Dos Pueblos won the fierce trial to reprise the state title after 29 years. In May Dos Pueblos represented California at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Boise, Idaho.
