DP Mock Trial is one of the most prestigious (and fun) activities at Dos Pueblos High School. The team has won the county competition 7 out of the last 8 years. In addition to a strong record at the County and State competition in years past, the 2015-16 team again won the Santa Barbara County Championship, won the California, State Mock Trial Championship, and placed 1st at the Empire World Championships.
What will DP MT Summer Camp involve? It will be run by long time Dos Pueblos Mock Trial attorney coach, Joel F. Block, in conjunction with several members of the current team. You will learn: how Mock Trial works, how to analyze a case, how to develop a witness’s character, what the coaches will be looking for in September when try-outs for the team are held, and more…
Each one-week camp will use a different case and set of facts. Students are welcome to attend a single week or both weeks of camp (cost is $150/week.)
Sign-ups will be limited. Checks should be mailed to DPHS (DPHS, Attention Joel F. Block, 7266 Alameda Ave., Goleta, CA, 93117.) Please make checks payable to DPHS, with “DP MT Summer Camp” on the memo line.
